PETERBOROUGH-The Peterborough Police Service Drug Unit says officers took a sizeable quantity of Fentanyl off the streets during an arrest Wednesday afternoon.
“The quantity of drugs intercepted by our officers is significant and could have resulted in serious harm, if not death in this community. Our Investigators continue to work hard to interrupt and interdict the flow of drugs in this city,” says Stu Betts, Chief of Police, Peterborough Police Service.
After an ongoing investigation, officers located and arrested a 68-year-old Marmora man in the City of Peterborough.
In total officers seized:
- 9 ounces of Fentanyl
- 1.6 grams of White Fentanyl
- 49.3 grams of Yellow Fentanyl
- 13 grams of Cocaine
- 16.8 grams of hard Cocaine
- 15 Dilaudid pills
- 5 vials of Hydromorphone
- Shot gun
- Pellet gun
- Pepper spray
- Collapsible Baton
- Outlaw Motorcycle Vest (1%er)
Officers then executed a search warrant at a property on Lindsay Road near Highway 7. From that location officers seized:
- 11.6 grams of Yellow Fentanyl
- 15 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine
- 4.4 grams of Cocaine
- 231 Dilaudid pills
- A glass bottle (unknown weight) containing what appears to be Yellow Fentanyl
- 2 imitation firearms
As a result, the suspect was further charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Dilaudid
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Crystal Methamphetamine
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court September 24, 2026.
