KAWARTHA LAKES- Rose M. of Lindsay can realize her dreams after winning a $1 million MAXMILLIONS prize in the March 24, 2026 LOTTO MAX draw.
Rose, a retiree, said she was at home when she checked her ticket on the OLG app and discovered she won big. “The words ‘Big Winner’ flashed across the screen and I thought to myself, ‘No way!’” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect her windfall.
“I burst into the washroom to ask my husband if I was seeing things right,” she recalled with a laugh. “He replied, ‘Yes, you won $1 million!’ I was in total shock!”
The 62-year-old described her win as life-changing. “I’m still processing the news. I just don’t believe it! Normally, I don’t replay my lottery numbers, but this time I did and I’m so glad I did!”
With her winnings, the mother of six and grandmother of 13 plans to purchase a new home. She also hopes to travel to Australia, Hawaii, and Nashville, and looks forward to embarking on a cruise. “Taking a cruise has always been a dream of mine,” she concluded with a smile.
The winning ticket was purchased at Tom’s Variety on Kent Street West in Lindsay.
