KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Kawartha Lakes Police Service – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP K9 executed a section 11 CDSA Search Warrant on a residential property in the Town of Lindsay. As a result of the warrant a quantity of crack cocaine, fentanyl, proceeds of crime and a stolen Toronto Firefighter badge was seized.
44-year-old Matthew Ruttan, of Lindsay was charged with:
·      Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
23-year-old Braydon Misanchuk of Lindsay was charged with:
·      Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x2
·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
Both accused were held for a Bail Hearing with the Ontario Court of Justice.
