PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) have made an arrest in relation to a stolen trailer that was recovered while it was in the process of being sold.
On Tuesday October 29, 2024, the Peterborough County OPP CSCU executed a warrant at a property in Douro-Dummer Township. Members of the unit had become aware of a trailer matching the description of one stolen earlier this summer from a business in Selwyn township, listed online for sale. Officers attended the location finding the trailer and confirming it to be the stolen trailer.
34-year-old Branden Lane of Douro-Dummer Twp., ON., was arrested and charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.
The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.
