KAWARTHA LAKES-The repairs on the Fenelon landfill scales are going to be longer than initially expected and the scales will remain out of service.
Maintenance work will continue during the week of August 12, through the weekend with the work anticipated to be completed by the end of day on Monday August 19, 2024.
The landfill will remain open, but longer wait times should be expected.
If you want to avoid the longer wait times, you’re welcome to visit one of our three other landfills that are open on Saturdays:
- Lindsay Ops landfill open 8am to 3pm
- Eldon landfill open 11am to 5pm
- Somerville landfill open 11am to 5pm
If you’re planning a trip on Monday and want to avoid the potential lines at the Fenelon landfill, your two other landfill options are:
- Lindsay Ops landfill open 8am to 5pm
- Somerville landfill open 11am to 5pm
