Lindsay Woman Charged After Peterborough Police Respond To Theft In Progress Call

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Lindsay woman is facing charges after Peterborough Police were called to a theft in progress.

Officers responded to the call at a business on Lansdowne Street West in Peterborough at approximately 8:45pm on January 25. Officers say they identified two individuals on surveillance video who had already left the store with stolen property. Police attended a Peterborough residence and located both suspects and reportedly recovered the outstanding stolen property.

As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old Peterborough man and 38-year-old Lindsay woman have been charged with:

  • Theft Under $5000

Furthermore, officers executed two outstanding warrants for the arrest of the 38-year-old Lindsay woman on charges of:

  • Breach of probation x2
  • Fail to attend court

As a result, the 43-year-old Peterborough man was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled for court on February 13, 2024. The 38-year-old woman was held in custody and will appear in court today, January 26, 2024, for a bail hearing.
