Heavy Rainfall Possible Through Tonight In Kawartha Lakes

KAWARTHA LAKES-Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for Kawartha Lakes, Minden and Haliburton areas.

Officials say locally heavy rainfall is possible through tonight with amounts 30 to 50 mm with higher amounts possible. Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to continue through this evening and tonight before coming to an end by early Sunday morning.

Locally heavy rainfall amounts can be expected. Rainfall warnings for greater than 50 mm within 24 hours may be required at a later time according to officials.

   York – Durham
   Barrie – Orillia – Midland
   Port Carling – Port Severn
   Bracebridge – Gravenhurst
   Haliburton – Minden – Southern Haliburton County
   Fenelon Falls – Balsam Lake Park – Northern Kawartha Lakes
   Lindsay – Southern Kawartha Lakes
   Innisfil – New Tecumseth – Angus
