Drug And Weapons Charges Laid After Man Falls Off His Bicycle In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 33-year-old Lindsay man is facing charges after falling off his bicycle in Lindsay.

On Sunday, March 26, 2023, at approximately 6:45pm Kawartha Lakes Police responded to the area of Melbourne Street East and St Lawrence Street for the report of a male in distress after falling off his bicycle. While emergency medical services were being provided the male was allegedly found in possession of a large quantity of drugs and a homemade edged weapon.

As a result, of an investigation the male has been arrested and charged. 33-year-old Jesse Thomson of Lindsay has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking X2, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and fail to comply with probation order.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
