Toronto Woman Charged After Children’s Aid Staff Member Allegedly Threatened

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Toronto Police Service assisted Kawartha Lakes Police with the arrest of a resident alleged to have threatened a Children’s Aif staff member.

Kawartha Lakes Police were contacted after a staff member of the Children’s Aid Society was threatened by a client on Monday, March 27, 2023.  Police say the staff member reminded the client she was not to attend the office as a result of police-imposed conditions however a short time late the staff member allegedly received over 20 threatening text messages. The client then called and left a threatening voice message according to police.

With the assistance of the Toronto Police Service, the 29-year-old Toronto woman was located and arrested on March 28, for uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm X2.

The accused was held for bail and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay located at 440 Kent Street West on March 29, 2023.
