Charges Laid After Crash On Highway 7

PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 7 at approximately 5:30am on February 27, 2022. The vehicle left the roadway and entered the ditch. The uninjured driver is facing charges.

31-year-old Christopher Campbell of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

• Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs

• Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration-80 plus

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on April 5, 2022.
