Two Local Residents Charged After Vehicle And Firearm Stolen

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Fenelon Falls man is one of two people facing charges after a vehicle and firearm were stolen in Lindsay.

Police say on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 3:40 am, City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a reported theft of a motor vehicle and a firearm from Crestwood Avenue in Lindsay.  With the public’s assistance the vehicle and firearm have been recovered according to police. Two parties have been arrested in relation to the incident.  

Charged with possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, mischief over $5000 and breach of probation is 32-year-old Jason Medina-Hanusiak of Fenelon Falls.  Charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 and mischief over $5000 is 38-year-old Justin Simpson of Lindsay. 

Both accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on November 18, 2021.
