Police Looking For Suspect After Convenience Store Robbery In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes Police Service is investigating a convenience store robbery in Lindsay.

Police say on Friday, October 9th, 2021, at 5:33pm, officers responded to a robbery at a convenience store on William Street North in Lindsay.  A male entered the store and demanded cash from the clerk and a brief struggle ensued according to police.  A customer entered the store and interrupted the robbery at which time the male attempted to flee, but was then detained by the customer.  Police say after a brief struggle, the male fled the scene. 

There were no physical injuries reported.  Police have identified the suspect with the assistance of video surveillance; the investigation is ongoing.
