KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes is replacing aging municipal water supply wells in the Manorview and Victoria Place Drinking Water Systems.
Manorview work will take place on Glengarry Road (Lot 24, Concession 7), Bethany.
- Drilling is scheduled to begin the week of July 27, 2026
- Work is expected to take approximately three weeks
- Construction activities, including drilling, will generally take place Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm
- A temporary access route will be installed at the start of the project for construction equipmentÂ
Victoria Place work will take place at 378 The Captains Corners, Bobcaygeon.

- Drilling is scheduled to begin the week of August 4, 2026
- Work is expected to take approximately three weeks
- Construction activities, including drilling, will generally take place Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm
- An access route will be built at the start of the project to allow equipment to reach the site
The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) operates and maintains both drinking water systems on behalf of the City. Tatham Engineering Ltd. is the project consultant and G. Hart & Sons Well Drilling Ltd. is the contractor.
Officials say if you live or work near either project site, you may notice construction equipment and increased vehicle traffic while work is underway. Any impacts are expected to be minor.
After the new wells have been drilled and evaluated, the contractor will return at a later date to complete pumping tests. The City says it will provide advance notice before this work begins.
