KAWARTHA LAKES-A 31-year-old Peterborough man is facing child pornography charges after an investigation.
Earlier this year, Peterborough Police received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and on June 17th, 2021, officers executed a search warrant at a Peterborough residence locating and seizing various electronics.
On October 7th, 2021, after an investigation, Justin Doucette, 31 of Peterborough was arrested, charged with:
- Possession of child pornography
- Accessing child pornography
During the examination of the devices officers learned that the accused had also distributed intimate videos without consent.
As a result, the accused was also charged with:
- Distribution of Intimate Images
The accused appeared in court on October 7, 2021 at which time he was held in custody and will appear in court today, October 8, 2021.
