Doors Open Kawartha Lakes Returns This Sunday With Driving Tours

KAWARTHA LAKES-Doors Open Kawartha Lakes returns with three driving tours to explore the heritage of Kawartha Lakes this Sunday September 12,2021.

These tours will take you throughout the many different areas in Kawartha Lakes you can explore at your leisure. Each driving tour has its own printable brochure with driving directions and information on select sites along the route.

The routes include:

  • Lindsay to Pontypool: Explore the southern part of Kawartha Lakes on this route that takes you through Downtown Lindsay to Downeyville, Omemee, Bethany and Pontypool
  • Fenelon Falls to Bobcaygeon: This route takes you along the north shore of Sturgeon Lake with a stop in Sturgeon Point.
  • Oakwood to Kirkfield: Drive through the agricultural communities on the western side of Kawartha Lakes and end in the Kirkfield area with the lift lock and other attractions.

These driving tours are a great way to explore Kawartha Lakes in a safe and distanced way. The brochures will remain available after the event.

This event is free and open to all. More information is available under Doors Open Ontario, at Kawartha Lakes Heritage Designation.
