Charges Laid After Multiple Thefts From Vehicles In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 36 year old woman is facing charges after multiple thefts from vehicles in Lindsay.

Police say on Sunday May 9, 2021 between, 5:50am and 11:15am the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service received three reports of thefts from vehicles. Multiple complaints were reported in the area of Hamilton Street, Durham Street West, Angeline Street South and McDonagh Drive in Lindsay.

Police located and arrested the alleged suspect at 11:40am. 36-year-old Julie Mitton of Lindsay is charged with theft under $5000 X4 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 X6.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on June 17, 2021.
