KAWARTHA LAKES-A 61 year old man from Cannington lost his life in a two vehicle crash near Seagrave on Sunday.
Police say at approximately 5:19 p.m. on December 15, 2019, officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to a collision on Simcoe Street, North of High Park Road.
Investigation revealed that a north bound vehicle allegedly lost control and entered into the south bound lane, striking a south bound vehicle according to police. Officials say the road was snow covered and visibility was poor at the time of the collision.
The driver of the north bound vehicle, Geoffrey Roberts, 61 years of age, of Cannington, was killed in the collision. The occupants of the south bound vehicle were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
