Kelsey’s Restaurants team up with Boys and Girls Club to “give back” during the holiday season

KAWARTHA LAKES-Kelsey’s Restaurant has teamed up with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada to raise $50,000 for kids programming.

From now until January 5th guests that dine at Kelseys support this cause.

“We’re excited to provide our guests with this great opportunity to join us in bringing an extra spark of joy to kids this holiday through our partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada,’ says Franco Tascione, Chief Operating Officer, Kelseys Original Roadhouse. “Everyone benefits when donations go to a great cause, making kids happy and rewarding our guests for giving back.”

There are many ways to give back to kids in the community including:

Dine and Give

From now until January 5th, guests can get 5 Free kids meals by donating $5 to Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada. As an extra thank you, they will also receive a $5 Toys R Us Savings Card.

Toys for Girls and Boys

Between now and December 20th, guests can drop off an unwrapped toy for kids of any age and the good people at Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada will deliver them to children in the local communities across Ontario, St. John’s and Moncton. For each toy donated, guests will receive a $5 Toys R Us Savings Card and a 10% discount card off their next visit until February 16, 2020.

Community Tap

Kelseys has also partnered with Creemore Springs, donating 50 cents from every 18 oz. Creemore Springs Lager to Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada.

“Giving to kids during the holidays is natural,” explains Franco Tascione. “So when guests come to our restaurants to celebrate with friends and family, we hope they will take advantage of these opportunities to put a smile on kids’ faces in our communities.”

Funds raised during this campaign also supports youth employment and mentoring through a unique program called Skilled4Success (S4S). Delivered at Boys and Girls Clubs across the country, S4S provides young Canadians with the skills and insights they need to be successful in their first jobs. Of these first jobs, 42% are in the hospitality industry.

Parents can kids in and use the Free kids meal anytime before February 16, 2020.

As Canada’s largest child- and youth-serving organization, Boys and Girls Clubs provide vital programs and services to over 200,000 young people in 700 communities across Canada.
