Convicted murder who went missing three times, including from Peterborough Halfway house, back in custody

PETERBOROUGH-A convicted murderer who has gone missing at least three times, including from a Peterborough halfway house has been found.

Jack Woods was located Friday around 2pm at a home in the Tantallon area of Halifax.

It’s the third time the murderer has gone missing since his 1996 conviction for murder and manslaughter.

The 66 year old failed to return to a halfway house on August 22 after a 72 hour unescoreted temporary absence from the Dorchester Penitentiary, southeast of Moncton.

Woods escaped from a Peterborough halfway house in 2009.
