Man facing numerous charges after break and enter in Manvers Township

KAWARTHA LAKES-A man is facing numerous charges after a break and enter on Sunday.

On September 8th officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to a break and enter at a residence in Manvers Township that resulted in a local male being arrested and charged with multiple offences.

Police say the male suspect had departed the residence prior to their arrival, however, police investigation revealed that the involved party was known to the homeowner. The male was located and arrested. The 58 year old male now faces the following charges:

  • Break and enter a dwelling house, with the intent to commit an indicatable offence, contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Assault, contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm, contrary to the Criminal Code

To protect the identity of the victim the name of the accused is not being released.
