KAWARTHA LAKES-Members and families of the Rotary Club of Lindsay recently spent a beautiful fall morning at Victoria Park, handing out mini End Polio Now flags and spreading the word.
“Since 1985, Rotary has helped cut polio cases worldwide by more than 99.9%. We’re this close, but “almost” isn’t enough. Every child, everywhere, deserves a polio-free future.” said Rizzan Delos Santos, President Rotary Club of Lindsay.
The group also held a walk and other events to raise money for the cause. You can still donate or make purchases.
Participants later refuelled with lunch at Round Up Burgers.
“Nothing builds fellowship like good food and great company!” said Delos Santos “Thank you to everyone who came out and to everyone in our community who stopped to chat with us!”
