9-1-1 Outage Stabilized Following Early Morning Glitch

ONTARIO-

The OPP says that the 9-1-1 system has largely stabilized after an outage earlier this morning. All OPP Provincial Communications Centres across the province are once again receiving and processing 9-1-1 calls.

At about 4:00 a.m. today, the OPP started receiving reports of intermittent 9-1-1 outages across the province. Members of the public requiring emergency police response were directed to call the OPP non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122, which remains fully operational.

Throughout the temporary outage, the OPP continued to respond to calls for service.

While the 9-1-1 system appears to be largely restored, it is possible that intermittent disruptions may still exist. If you are unable to reach the OPP by dialing 9-1-1, please call the OPP non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122. Do not call 9-1-1 to test the system or confirm if it works for you.

“The OPP thanks the phone network providers for expediting the restoration of the 9-1-1 service.”
