KAWARTHA LAKES-The Lindsay and District Chamber of Commerce (LDCC) announced a new Interim Executive Director last night on social media.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce, I want to reaffirm our strong commitment to the Chamber, our members, and the broader community we serve.” said the statement. “We are pleased to welcome Rizzan Delos Santos into the role of Interim Executive Director as we continue our work serving our members and community.”
According to LDCC Rizzan is a former Secretary of the Board. “The Board has full confidence in Rizzan and will be working closely with her in the months ahead.”
Terry Guiel has held the position of Executive Director since November 2023 after spending ten years as ED with the Peterborough Downtown Improvement Area.
There has been no reason given for the sudden change of leadership and no mention of Guiel in the chamber statement.
We reached out to Guiel for comment but have not heard back. He later posted a statement on his personal Facebook page.
When contacted by Kawartha 411 News, the Interim ED said “Terry is no longer with the organization.”
The statement from LDCC Board said the organization remains committed to its mission.

Our priorities remain clear: supporting and advocating for local businesses and non-profit organizations, strengthening connections across our community, and ensuring the Chamber remains a strong voice for its members. We will continue to listen to all our members, build on the Chamber’s strengths, and look for new ways to provide value to our community.” said the Statement fromSamantha burke, Chair of the Board of Directors. “We are fortunate to have a dedicated community of members, partners, and supporters who believe in the work of the Chamber. With their continued support, and the commitment of our Board and staff, we are confident in the Chamber’s direction and excited about the opportunities ahead.”
