KAWARTHA LAKES- The Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to the area of Angeline Street North and Connolly Road in Lindsay on Wednesday, August 26 at approximately 12:28 p.m., following a report from a witness who observed a lone individual who appeared to be tied up.
Police Asking For Public’s Assistance Following Report Of A Person Seen Tied Up In Lindsay
The witness subsequently lost sight of the individual, prompting officers to conduct an extensive search of the area. The search included ground units and the deployment of a police drone to assist in canvassing the nearby wooded area. The involved individual was not located in the area according to police.
Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual involved. Anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and may have information, dash camera footage, residential security video, or other relevant recordings is asked to contact the Kawartha Lakes Police Service non-emergency line at 705-324-5252.
Information can also be provided anonymously through Kawartha Lakes Crime Stoppers.
At this time, investigators do not believe there is any concern for public safety.
