KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes Police Service says officers have recently seen an increase in thefts from unlocked vehicles in rural areas surrounding Lindsay.
Living in the country doesn’t make you immune to crime and according to police opportunistic thieves are targeting areas where vehicles are left unlocked and valuables are easy to access.
Please take a moment to protect yourself:
• Always lock your vehicle, especially overnight
• Remove valuables, cash, and electronics from your car
• Park in well-lit areas when possible
• Report any suspicious activity
