PETERBOROUGH-Just before 8:00pm on Tuesday February 24, the Peterborough County OPP received a call regarding an assault that had taken place at a residence in Peterborough County. The caller advised that there had been an argument that had resulted in the caller being assaulted by their spouse.
Officers attended the scene and spoke with both parties. After gathering information the accused was arrested.
A 71-year-old male from Peterborough County was arrested and charged with assault.
The accused was released with a future court date to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.
