NORTHUMBERLAND-The Northumberland OPP has charged two motorists with impaired operation following separate incidents.
On December 5, 2025, at approximately 1:15 p.m., officers stopped a pickup truck on Front Street in the Municipality of Trent Hills for a traffic offence. After speaking with the driver, police initiated an impaired operation investigation. The individual was taken into custody and transported to a detachment for further testing.
47-year-old Kevin GEEN from the Municipality of Trent Hills, has been charged with:
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
On December 7, 2025, shortly after 7:00 a.m., OPP received multiple reports of a vehicle travelling eastbound on Highway 401 in the Municipality of Port Hope with only three tires and having struck a barrier. Officers located the vehicle stopped on the shoulder and arrested the driver for impaired operation. The individual was transported to a detachment for further tests.
As a result, Andrew Mac Innis (36) from Caledon, has been charged with:
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Failure or refusal to comply with demand
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Dangerous operation
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Improper tires
Both accused are due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in January 2026.
For each impaired driving charge, a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and 7-day vehicle impoundment were imposed as per statute.
