Bancroft Resident Charged With Assault Causing Bodily Harm

BANCROFT-Bancroft OPP has charged one person following a disturbance.

On Sunday, December 7, 2025, just before 3:00 p.m. police responded to an address on Valleyview Drive in the Town of Bancroft. As a result of the investigation one person was arrested and transported to the Bancroft OPP detachment.

34-year-old Joseph Easton-Vautour of Bancroft has been charged with the following:

  • Assault – 2 counts
  • Assault cause bodily harm
  • Forcible confinement
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Theft under $5,000

The accused was held for bail and remanded into custody. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bellville on December 10, 2025
