KAWARTHA LAKES-The Ontario Lung Screening Program is now available at Ross Memorial Hospital.
Officials say this means more access to early lung cancer screening for eligible individuals — because finding lung cancer early can lead to better health outcomes!
You may be eligible for lung cancer screening if you:
• Are between 55 and 80 years of age
• Have smoked cigarettes for at least 20 years (does not need to be in a row).
Call the centralized intake at Lakeridge Health 905-576-8711 extension 34449 to complete your risk assessment and find out if you are eligible.
Update: The age for eligibility has been updated to 55 to 80.
