83-Year-Old Kawartha Lakes Man Charged In Collision On August Sixth In Peterborough

KAWARTHA LAKES-An 83-year-old City of Kawartha Lakes man has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) in connection with a collision August 6, 2025, between a vehicle and a motorcycle.

A reconstruction of the collision at Lansdowne Street and Webber Avenue was completed and as a result, on Monday, November 17, 2025, the 83-year-old driver of the vehicle was charged with Careless Driving Causing Bodily Harm (HTA).

The collision happened at approximately 5:00pm on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Lansdowne Street West and Webber Avenue. The motorcyclist was flown to a Toronto hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision.

The area was closed for about 3.5 hours while officers conducted a reconstruction.

The Traffic Unit also issued four tickets to motorists who drove around a police barrier while the collision was being investigated.
