Temporary Increase In Water Levels Expected Along The Otonabee And Trent Rivers Due To Equipment Upgrades

KAWARTHA LAKES-Otonabee Conservation says that Ontario Power Generation will be conducting equipment upgrades at the Auburn Generating Station (908 Water Street, Peterborough) from September 2 to September 22, 2025. During this period, temporary increases in water levels and flow may occur along the Otonabee and Trent Rivers.

Residents and river users are urged to exercise caution, as elevated water conditions may result in strong undercurrents and rapidly changing conditions. Please ensure that all boats, floating docks, and related equipment are properly secured.

Water levels and flow are expected to return to normal following the completion of the upgrades.
