KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP began an impaired driving investigation after receiving information about a vehicle leaving a residence in Eldon Township.
On Saturday May 03, 2025 at approximately 10:22 pm officers responded to reports of an altercation in Eldon Township where a driver left in a motor vehicle. Police say the motor vehicle was located on Woodville Road travelling westbound, a traffic stop was initiated and the driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving.
Ian Patterson, 34-year-old of Bobcaygeon, was charged with:
- Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
- Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 plus
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days
