KAWARTHA LAKES-A 32-year old has been killed in a crash on Highway 7 yesterday.
Police say at approximately 6:30 p.m., members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP, with assistance from Peterborough OPP, Fire, and EMS, responded to a report of a serious two-vehicle collision on Highway 7, near the intersection of Parkhill Road and Lily Lake Road.
As a result of the collision, a 32-year-old driver was killed and the other motorist involved was transported to a trauma hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The area was closed for several hours while OPP officers trained in collision reconstruction measured and documented the scene. The road has since been reopened.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision is ongoing.
