Omemee Resident Facing Impaired Driving Charges

KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP received reports of a possible impaired driver on January 14th at approximately 5:00 p.m.

Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop and after speaking with the driver, the officer entered an investigation for operation while impaired.

As a result, 41-year-old, Justin Adamson, from Omemee was arrested and charged with

  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

The driver was released from custody with a future court date and served a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and the involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days in accordance with the Ministry of Transportation (ADLS) guidelines.
