KAWARTHA LAKES-A local resident was arrested and charged for operation while impaired and additional charges.
Police say on September 27th at 4:30p.m Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP were patrolling Sturgeon Road.
Officers say they onducted a traffic stop on a motor-vehicle that was travelling at a high rate of speed and after speaking with the driver, officers entered an investigation.
As a result, 39-year-old, Michael Lamb from Dunsford was arrested and charged with operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80plus), possession of a schedule l substance- other drugs, drive motor vehicle- perform stunt, fail to surrender insurance card and driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor.
In addition to the charges the drivers received a 90-day licence suspension, and the motor vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
The accused was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
