Woodville Resident Charged With Impaired Driving After Crash

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 67-year-old Woodville man is facing impaired driving charges.

City of Kawartha Lakes OPP began investigating on September 19, 2024, after a motor vehicle was reported as being in the ditch.

Police say at approximately 8:37 p.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle located in the ditch on Simcoe Street, Mariposa Township. Upon arrival officers confirmed there were no injuries and through investigation a driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving offences.

Allan MACDONALD, 67-year-old of Woodville, was charged with Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 Plus).

In addition to the charges the driver received a 90-day licence suspension, and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

“Drivers are reminded that no amount of alcohol or drugs in your system is safe when driving. The OPP remains committed to taking alcohol/drug-impaired drivers off our roads through enforcement and public education. Arrive alive, drive sober.” said the OPP.
