A Visit To The Kawartha Yarn And Fibre Festival, 2024

KAWARTHA LAKES-On Saturday, June 8, the Kawartha Yarn and Fibre Festival hosted its 5th Anniversary show at the Fenelon Arena. Each year this event is eagerly anticipated by Ontario fibre artists, and is a wonderful opportunity to share this passion. This year, the event included classes by Indigodragonfuly and Wendo Van Essen. With over 1,000 visitors the event was once again a success.

It featured a great selection of yarn and many interesting vendors, including Marion Karol with her hand-dyed yarn; Elysha Schuhbauer with her swift darning loom, made from bicycle spokes and repurposed furniture; Patricia Cooper’s spinning demonstration; and Leslie Dyment of Crow Hill Farms.
