Peterborough Police Investigating After Man Dropped Off At PRHC With Gunshot Wound

PETERBOROUGH–The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after a man was allegedly dropped off at Peterborough Regional Health Centre with a gunshot wound.

At approximately 7:30pm on Thursday, May 30, 2024, officers were called to the Emergency Department about the 30-year-old victim from Toronto. The victim was flown to a Toronto trauma hospital for treatment.

Police say officers determined the victim was transported to hospital by another male, who was uncooperative with police. As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old Orleans, Ontario man was arrested and charged with Obstruct Peace Officer.

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court June 18, 2024.
