Police Stop In Bancroft Leads To Drug Charges

KAWARTHAS- The Bancroft OPP has laid drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop in the Town of Bancroft.

Police say on March 1, 2024, shortly after midnight, officers conducted a traffic stop in the Town of Bancroft. As a result of the investigation, 40-year-old Ryan Hogan of Bancroft was arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:

Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking- Fentanyl;

Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking- Methamphetamine;

Possession of a Schedule 3 substance for the purpose of trafficking- Psilocybin; and

Adult Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on March 26th, 2024.
