Charges Laid After Alleged Assault And Robbery In Minden

KAWARTHA LAKES-Haliburton Highlands OPP has charged two people in relation to an assault and robbery that occurred earlier this month.

Officers responded to an assault and robbery with a weapon on Parkside Street in Minden on February 9th shortly after 4:30 am. The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Steven Norman, 44-year-old of Minden Hills, has been charged with:

·        Aggravated assault

·        Robbery using firearm

·        Possession of a weapon

·        Possession of a weapon while prohibited

28-year-old Michael Gunn of Minden Hills, has been charged with:

·        Aggravated assault

·        Robbery using firearm

·        Possession of a weapon

·        Fail to comply release order

·        Possession of a firearm while prohibited

Both were held for a bail hearing. The investigation is ongoing.
