KAWARTHA LAKES-Due to current road conditions and projected warm weather through the remainder of the week and into next week, the municipality is imposing load restrictions on all municipal roads south of CKL Road 8, with the exception of those identified in Appendix B to By-law 2022-190 (see list below).
The road load restrictions are effective as of 12:00am Wednesday February 7, 2024. Road conditions will be continually monitored by staff, and the restrictions will remain in place until conditions are suitable to remove them without damage to municipal roads.

Restrictions are put into place in accordance with By-Law 2022-190, when road damage is most likely to occur due to heavy loading. This program identifies and imposes load restrictions on roads, or portions of roads that are weakened by excess water in the road base.
The table below lists roads in Kawartha Lakes that will not be load restricted. All other roads will be in a load-restricted state per the date on this notice, in accordance with By-Law 2022-190.
