Lindsay Woman Charged With Impaired Driving AT RIDE Check

KAWARTHA LAKES-City of Kawartha Lakes OPP charged a Lindsay woman with impaired driving related charges following an interaction at a RIDE program.

On November 23, 2023 around 0135 hours, a vehicle was stopped at a RIDE program and an investigation commenced, as a result, the driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged.

Kathryn Groenendyk,27 years old of Lindsay, was charged with Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg plus.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

If you plan on consuming drugs or alcohol please arrange a safe ride home. If you suspect someone to be operating a motor vehicle while impaired please call 9-1-1.
