KAWARTHA LAKES-A 27-year-old Trent Lakes man has been arrested and charged in connection with an online investigation.
On Tuesday, November 21, 2023, members of the Peterborough Police Service Criminal Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Trent Lakes and took the suspect into custody.
As a result, a 27-year-old Trent Lakes man was arrested and charged with:
- Luring a Person Under 16 years of age by means of Telecommunication
- Make Sexually Explicit Material available to a Person Under 16 yrs of age
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court today, November 21, 2023. No name was released.
The Peterborough Police is a member of the Provincial Strategy to protect children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the internet.
