Hydro Pole Fire In Lindsay Leaves Thousands Without Power (VIDEO)

KAWARTHA LAKES-A hydro pole fire in Lindsay early Monday morning left approximately 2165 customers without power. Kawartha Lakes Police Service was called to the scene on Angeline Street North just after 7:30 am to provide traffic control.

Hydro One told Kawartha 411 News that a failed piece of equipment resulted in an outage to approximately 2,165 customers. The failed piece of equipment caused the powerline to spark and smoke. Power was restored to customers at approximately 8:30 a.m. Crews remain onsite making repairs.

“We understand how difficult it is to be without power and we thank our customers for their patience as crews worked to restore power as quickly and as safely as possible.” Tiziana Baccega Rosa said.
