PETERBOROUGH-A 25-year-old Peterborough man was tased and is facing charges after an incident early Friday morning.
At approximately 1:24am on October 6, 2023, police received a call about a male waiving around what was believed to be a gun in the area of Clonsilla Avenue and The Parkway. Upon arrival, the male was staggering on his feet and refused to comply with officer commands. The officer used their conducted energy weapon and was able to take the man into custody. During the search of the suspect after arrest officers located a black BB Glock style handgun.
As a result, a 25-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court October 24, 2023.
