Madoc Man Charged With Impaired Driving On Highway 7

PETERBOROUGH-A Peterborough County OPP officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on September 29, 2023, just prior to 9:00pm after observing the vehicle travelling on Highway 7. The officer noted that the vehicle was having a difficult time maintaining its position within its lane. The officer conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver.

22-year-old Brady Auger of Madoc has been charged with Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration-80 plus.

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on October 31, 2023.

The Peterborough County OPP reminds motorists to plan ahead when consuming alcohol. Use a designated driver, cab, public transit, or stay overnight. Any amount of alcohol or drugs can impact your ability to make sound judgements.
