Lindsay Man Facing Firearms Charges

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Lindsay man is facing firearms charges after a concerned citizen called police.

On Saturday, September 16 at approximately 12:45pm the Kawartha Lakes Police were called to a Lindsay Street North residence about a male who was observed with what was believed to be a firearm. Officers attended the residence; and say during the investigation located a loaded BB gun in the possession of the suspect who is on a firearms prohibition order. The suspect was taken into custody without incident according to police.  

As a result of the investigation, 34-year-old Jason Medina-Hanusiak of Lindsay has been charged with possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order and fail to comply with probation. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Linday on October 26, 2023.
