Kawartha Lakes Police Investigating Theft Of Firearms And Vehicle

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is seeking information from the public that could help locate a vehicle and firearms that were stolen from a farm property in the area of Highway 35 and Tower Road in Ops Township.  

It happened on Monday, September 11th. Police say officers received a report of a stolen vehicle with firearms inside. The vehicle is described as a white 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 pick-up truck, Ontario license plate “BB 29436.” The vehicle had firearms inside for hunting purposes, described as a SKS rifle and a 12-gauge Remington 870 shotgun. The vehicle was stolen sometime between 1:00pm and 7:30pm on September 11, 2023. 

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the vehicle or firearms, is asked to call the Kawartha Lakes Police at 705-324-5252. Or if you wish to provide your information anonymously you can do so through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8499) or at khcrimestoppers.com.
