KAWARTHA LAKES-An Omemee man is facing drug driving charges.
On Tuesday, September 5th, 2023 at 10:10pm Kawartha Lakes Police received a report of a vehicle being operated by a possible impaired driver on Lindsay Street South. Officers attended the area, located and stopped the alleged vehicle. Police say the driver was showing signs of impairment and was transported to the police station, where a drug recognition expert concluded his ability to operate a vehicle was impaired by drug.Â
As a result of the investigation, a 58-year-old Omemee man has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on October 12, 2023.Â
