Cocaine, Oxycodone And Cell Phones Seized After Police Raid Motel In Bobcaygeon

KAWARTHA LAKES-THE City of Kawartha Lakes OPP seized drugs and arrested an individual who was wanted on outstanding warrants in Bobcaygeon yesterday according to police.

On August 15, 2023, at approximately 12:10 p.m., members of the Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) located and arrested an individual wanted on warrants at a motel in Bobcaygeon. Through further investigation, police say officers seized over 230 grams of cocaine, over 180 oxycodone pills, and five cell phones.

As a result of the investigation, 41-year-old Pierre Kalata of East Gwillimbury was charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on September 14, 2023.
